Light Outreach Ministries

Purpose

2 Cor. 4:3-4, "But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them."

Ephesians 5:8-14, "For you were once darkness, but now are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says, "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you LIGHT."

Mission

John 4:34, "Jesus said to them, 'My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. Do you not say, "There are still four months and then comes the harvest"? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!'"

Training - Training is provided by teachers in various outreach techniques.

Street Evangelism - Outreach through witnessing on the streets of Oklahoma using the Way of the Master techniques and passing out Gospel tracks.

Transportation Outreach - Outreach through personal pick-ups; driving church bus for outreach activities; possible transporting men and wormen form rehab centers to and from church/church activities; making a way for individuals who want to come to church but cannot transport themselves.

Hospitality Calls - Outreach through calling church visitors.

Bible Study - Outreach related Bible study conducted in small groups.

Door Knocking and Visitation - Outreach through neighborhood and community door knocking, notifying the community of guest speakers and other church activities; visiting guests.

Jail Ministry - Outreach through ministering to inmates in local jails/half-way houses.

Light Outreach Minstries goal is to find where the needs of the people are and meet their needs, while spreading the Gospel and showing the love of Christ to all! This will include various types of community outreach (i.e. City Rescue Missions, Jesus House, Salvation Army, etc.).

God is doing a work through this ministry. People are praying and receiving Christ on the streets of Downtown Oklahoma City. Christ has commissioned us all--Get Involved!!
