Our Philosophy

The guiding commitment of the Harvest Kids Child Care/Preschool is to continually strive towards reaching our full potential in the Center’s growth and in the service we provide.

Our commitment toward the children we serve is recognition that every child is a unique individual with social, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs which must be met. Every day each child is greeted with opportunities for success. This success helps each child develop self-confidence as he/she realizes learning is fun.

Helping children learn how to learn by recognizing the child’s interest and skills must be our guide toward curriculum planning. The process of learning must be consistent with understandable limits and teachers who respond to inappropriate behavior with insight, sensitivity and skill. Clear, consistent and developmentally appropriate limits must be present with the child becoming increasingly responsible for him/her. Harvest Kids Child Care/Preschool strives to help children understand and respect the feelings of others, as their own opinions and ideas are shared and respected by caring, educated staff.
